The Table

TV stand build log

there is a TV at the foot of my bed. it isn't very large

a picture of me pointing at the 24 inch tv at the foot of my bed, sitting atop a tiny night stand

it sits on a tiny little night stand along with a bunch of stuff like my stereo, wii, gamecube... and it's Really Messy and i hate it now!!!! so i decided to get a new piece of furniture

... apparently finding something the size i wanted (about 90cm wide, 90cm tall, and up to 60 cm deep) is really difficult!!!

however.. the ikea had a great candidate- the LACK TV unit. 90 cm wide, 45 cm tall, 26 cm deep. if i could stack two of them...

however . it was discontinued and out of stock :(

fortunately, another similar unit existed - about twice as deep, the LACK coffee table was PERFECT. it would make for bigger shelves, and it actually Existed in ikea stores.

also, it's a LACK - and plenty of NERDS have made plenty of mods for these little tables. thank you nerds :3

WITHOUT FURTHER ADO

The Plan

through the wonder of 3d printing, two coffee tables will be coalesced into one TV stand. as they should be. in addition, some power strips and cable passthroughs will be added, and eventually some wonderful neopixel strips

a short list of everything going into this build:

The IKEA Trip

on sunday i went to the ikea!

a picture of me pointing at an IKEA

it was quite nice and i ended up buying Quite A Bit More Than I Needed

a picture of my receipt, showing a total of over $260

regardless, when i got home, i immediately put the two tables together

The Build

a picture of one of the tables assembled

after putting together the tables, it was pretty trivial to stack them and keep the top one from shifting with the stack adapters

(more to follow, looking for mounting screws and waiting for aliexpress delivery)
